Our client acquired a plot of land which had planning permission for a traditional dwelling in a rural neighbourhood. The client’s brief was to create a family home with a more contemporary architectural style.

In order to achieve an updated planning permission, we proposed a dual aspect design. The front elevation of the building needed to maintain a traditional form with sensitve use of materials and features.

The rear of the property allowed for more freedom to add some exciting design features to complement the traditional form.

Using stylish brickwork, we added glimpes of zinc to the roof and dormer windows with generous floor to ceiling windows to provide a cutting edge and enhance the natural light entering the internal spaces.

The property includes a large master bedroom suite with an ensuite, changing area and large terrace taking advantage of the views across the countryside.
